How It Works
Setting up a crypto company in Costa Rica is
remarkably simple — and remarkably fast.
The entire process can be completed in as little as one week, entirely remotely.
Here is exactly what happens, step by step:
- 1
STEP 1 — Free Consultation Contact us. We assess your business, recommend the right package, and explain the process in full. No obligation.
- 2
STEP 2 — Power of Attorney & Documents This is the critical step unique to Costa Rica: because electronic filings require a Firma Digital credential (a government-issued digital signature available only to Costa Rican residents), you must grant Power of Attorney to our local Costa Rican legal representative. This is a standard legal instrument and is entirely safe. You maintain full ownership and control of your company.
- 3
STEP 3 — Incorporation at the Registro Nacional Our local representative files your S.A. incorporation electronically using their Firma Digital. The National Registry confirms incorporation within 3–5 business days.
- 4
STEP 4 — AML/CFT Package We prepare your compliance documentation in line with Law 7786. This covers your KYC procedures, suspicious transaction reporting obligations, and internal control policies.
- 5
STEP 5 — Banking & Payment Provider Introductions We introduce you to our network of crypto-compatible payment processors. Standard and Premium packages include formal introductions.
- 6
STEP 6 — Delivery All corporate documents are delivered electronically. Notarized/apostilled originals available on request (additional cost). You are operational.

TOTAL TIMELINE: 5–21 business days depending on package.
